Kara Mayer Robinson, MA, LMHC, is a licensed therapist, coach, mental health counselor, on-set therapist and mental health advisor and executive producer and host of Really Famous with Kara Mayer Robinson.

After graduating with a Master of Arts from Columbia University in New York, NY, Kara built a thriving private therapy practice in New York, where she helped people in entertainment, the business sector, the health professions, and other industries live their happiest, healthiest, most successful lives.

Kara has become a go-to for Hollywood talent and creatives. A celebrity favorite, Kara has gained the trust of top talent and entertainment professionals. She’s on speed-dial for many well-known Hollywood insiders and often brings A-listers onto her celebrity talk show, Really Famous with Kara Mayer Robinson, which airs as a podcast and YouTube series, to talk about real struggles in their personal and professional lives.

Also a prolific writer, Kara has written extensively for The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Hollywood Reporter, Emmy Magazine, Travel + Leisure, Time Out New York, WebMD and WebMD Magazine, among others. They include health and wellness pieces, celebrity profiles, insider Q&As, and cover stories.

Kara is often invited to speak on stage and in the media about mental health, celebrity wellness, personal connections, interviewing, podcasting, and more. She hosts talks and events and participates in panels. Kara was recently on the Main Stage in Las Vegas, hosting a fireside chat with actress and activist Jameela Jamil (The Good Place, iWeigh) on the topic of authenticity. Kara has appeared on celebrity podcasts like Bialik’s Breakdown with Mayim Bialik, conventions like Podcast Movement and industry conferences like Digital Hollywood.

As a host and moderator, Kara's best-friend energy and therapist's instincts lead to lively, entertaining and unforgettable panels, fireside chats and workshops with key takeaways and buzz-worthy reveals.

Now based in Los Angeles and New York, Kara consults for television and film productions—before, during, and after filming.
