What is personal coaching?

Coaching is all about helping you get unstuck in your life. Whether you’re struggling with a heightened crisis, a escalating situation or a general feeling of not being where you want to be, you and your coach will break it down and build you up so you can unlock your potential, reach your goals (and often surpass them!) and live a better life.

What can personal coaching help with?

Coaching can turn crisis into opportunity, improve your relationships, self-confidence, mindset, health, career goals and/or just about anything you’d like.

Kara is a therapist. How is coaching different than therapy?

As a therapist, Kara comes in with a lot of insight and years of professional training and skills in human psychology, but coaching is different than therapy because it doesn’t directly address mental health conditions. It’s also more future-oriented. 

How does personal coaching work?

Kara talks to her coaching clients regularly. It may be every day or two, every week, every couple of weeks, or once a month, depending on the situation and what’s best for you. You may meet up with Kara in person, on the phone and/or on Zoom and chat between meetings via phone, text and/or email.

Sometimes the coaching process goes a bit faster than therapy. If you’re looking for speed, it may be a few months and done. Many of Kara’s clients prefer to have Kara in their corner long term, helping them through the variety of situations that life brings.

It’s totally customized. You and Kara will talk about what may work best for you.

How can I get started?

If you’d like to give it a go and Kara thinks you’re a good fit for her practice, you’ll have an initial consultation to talk about where you are and where you’d like to be and create a plan to move forward.

Your initial coaching consultation lasts about one hour. Then Kara will create a customized coaching package that fits what you need.
